Assist the Deputy Chief Actuary/Appointed Actuary in overseeing the Health business, including product development, reinsurance, and in-force management. This position ensures that the company’s Health portfolio is effectively monitored, sustainably developed, and aligned with the company’s long-term risk appetite and profitability goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1, Health Portfolio & Provider Management
- Monitor the performance of the in-force Health portfolio, including key indicators of premium trend, persistency, and loss ratio.
- Drive analysis of claim trend, frequency/severity patterns, and cost drivers across multiple product lines to produce actionable insights for claim control.
- Develop and maintain a health dashboard and early warning indicators for health product risks.
- Provide risk-return insights to guide contracting strategies with TPA and Healthcare partners.
2, Reinsurance Management
- Act as internal reinsurance coordinator and contact point, taking over the relationship management with Reinsurance markets.
- Lead the reinsurance management workstream, including treaty review, reinsurance internal and external reporting.
- Ensure Reinsurance agreements are arranged with competitive offers to accelerate business growth, uplift company financials, and comply with the company's reinsurance management policy.
3, Product Governance
- Partner with Product teams to design and price new health products.
- Participate in the fine-tuning of product specs, TnC related materials, and ensure accuracy and alignment with Reinsurance, Regulatory, and Business requirements.
- Deliver business-driven insights to enhance the profitability and sustainability of the Health business line.
4, Strategic Reporting & Advisory
- Prepare and present regular health portfolio reports.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on portfolio performance and strategic initiatives.
1, Qualification: University degree (or above) in actuarial science, insurance, mathematics, statistics, or related field
2, Experience: 5+ years of experience in the insurance/reinsurance domain, with a strong exposure to the health business
