Job Description

1. Job Purpose
Proactively transform business needs into high-value, data-driven solutions by leveraging AI and analytics to maximize operational efficiency and customer experience.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Advanced Business Analysis & Solution Design

  • Proactive Requirements Engineering: Lead deep-dive analysis of business needs across functions (Sales, Ops, Claims, Finance). Move beyond passive gathering to actively challenge and refine requirements based on system capabilities and best practices.
  • Solution-First Approach: Shift focus from heavy documentation to active solution design. Create process flows (BPMN), wireframes, and prototypes to visualize solutions early. Leverage Generative AI tools to accelerate the drafting of technical specifications (BRD, SRS, User Stories).
  • End-to-End CX Optimization: Lead initiatives to map and optimize customer journeys across digital touchpoints and backend systems. Ensure that solutions deliver a seamless, frictionless experience while strictly adhering to Compliance & Regulatory standards.

B. AI Application & Data-Informed Analysis

  • Strategic AI Application: Proactively identify and define high-value business use cases for AI/Machine Learning (e.g., Automated Underwriting, Fraud Detection, Smart Chatbots, Document OCR) to solve specific operational pain points. Collaborate with the Data Science/Tech team to translate these business needs into functional requirements.
  • Data-Informed Business Analysis: Leverage available data insights and trends to analyze business situations and validate assumptions before defining requirements. Focus on interpreting data to support decision-making rather than performing complex data engineering or extraction tasks.
  • Solution Impact Measurement: Define clear success metrics and requirements for monitoring dashboards, ensuring that the business value of deployed solutions is measurable and transparent.

C. Process Innovation & Agile Leadership

  • Automation Mindset: Proactively identify manual, repetitive processes and propose automation solutions (using RPA, Low-code platforms, or API integration) to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Agile Product Ownership: Act as a Proxy Product Owner within the Agile squad: manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and ensure continuous value delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage and align diverse stakeholders by using logic and evidence to negotiate scope, and resolve conflicts between Business goals and technical constraints.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Economics - Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role or equivalent position
  • Strong domain knowledge in Life Insurance operations (New Business, Underwriting, Policy Admin, Claims) is preferred.
  • Experience in focusing on Customer Experience (CX) optimization and Digital Transformation projects.
  • Strong familiarity with modern technical concepts (APIs, Microservices) to effectively bridge the gap between Business and Technical teams.
  • Tech-Savvy: Strong familiarity with modern technical concepts (APIs, Microservices) to effectively bridge the gap between Business and Technical teams.
  • Experience in applying AI tools (Generative AI, ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance personal productivity and solution design.
  • Ability to understand and interpret data models, data flows, and analytical reports to support business analysis (Complex SQL coding is not required).
  • Proficiency in using BPMN, UML, and tools like Visio, Draw.io, or Figma.
